Of all the great photographers of the twentieth century, Paul Strand (1890-1976) most truly embodies the aspirations and spirit of his age. Among his early works, Wall Street is recognized by collectors and scholars as an icon of modernism, an image that redefined the art of photography. There are only two vintage print of this image. And there are considered to be as few as thirty-five Camera Work photogravures. This print represents the third state.
