Edison’s Light ParkeHarrison, Robert (American, b.1968)

Photographer Robert ParkeHarrison tells stories of loss, human struggle, and personal exploration within landscapes scarred by technology and overuse. Since the mid-1990s, ParkeHarrison has constructed fantastical images in the guise of environmental performances by the Everyman dressed in a black suit and starched white shirt who interacts with the landscape. Tapping into surreal dreamlike imagination, the artist combines elaborate sets with his wit and sense of irony to address the question of our responsibility to heal the damage that has been done to the earth. from Richard Levy Gallery http://www.levygallery.com/
