The plate was made by Jon Goodman according to his copperplate dust grained photogravure process. The making the plate was filmed and used to demonstrate the process for visitors to the exhibition, Etched by Light: Photogravures from the Collection, 1840–1940 October 15, 2023 – February 4, 2024 at the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. The production was financed by The Photographic Materials Group of The American Institute for Conservation and the Library of Congress, Conservation Division.
