Untitled Mosely, Peter (British)

"I love to make portraits of people and their bodies, to explore the texture of their skin and their experience. I use the old processes, particularly photogravure, to realize something of the presence and character, not merely the representation, of my subjects. Compared with images you see on phones and computer screens, the early, nineteenth century, ways of making prints have a physicality and the tactile nature about them which is a rich resource for both the maker and the viewer.
