The Encyklopädie der Photographie was first published in 1893 by Wilhelm Knapp. From 1925 the series continued until 1932 under the extended title Enzyklopädie der Fotografie und Kinematographie. The individual volumes deal with all topics related to photography. One focus is on the description of various photographic techniques and photochemistry, but there are also treatises on photographic applications, copyright and various photographic genres. This 1895 volume contains several beautifully executed photogravures by J. Blechinger.
